Joe and Jeff have helped our family for almost 20-years. They are professional and expert in helping us meet our goals. We've see them help do everything from helping athletes reach their peak potential to helping those with injuries or challenges recover. While we may not be their best students (certainly on the diet side), they are caring, thoughtful and we really see them as an extension of our family.

After retiring, I found my weight creeping up and my flexibility and energy level slipping. My wife, already a client, recommended that I meet with Jeff at Training 4 Fitness. Jeff and I decided that “one on one “ 30 minute sessions twice a week would be a good start. Jeff customized a program for me specifically to fit my goals of increased movement. After 3 months, I am now more agile, have much more energy and actually enjoy going to the gym. I highly recommend Jeff and the team at Training 4 Fitness.
I started to become and I felt great!
When I retired, I made getting fit my first priority. I wanted to travel and enjoy my life and family. I decided to continue my Pilates, but I knew I needed more. My husband encouraged me to try strength training. I noticed as I got older, my hand strength was weakening and my balance at times bothered me. At my physical, my doctor ordered a bone scan. My results shocked and concerned me that I was diagnosed with Osteopina. Now I knew without a doubt that I need strength training more that ever as my new goal was to reverse this diagnosis. So I decided to train with Jeff Drucker at Training 4 Fitness. I was astounded at how weak I was when I started. I quickly became aware how much I needed this. Jeff was so kind and gentle with me. He encouraged me to challenge myself. I was astounded at how much stronger I started to become and I felt great!
When I read that sitting is the new tobbaco, I knew more than ever I made the right decision. Now I am enjoying my retirement, traveling, and doing all the things that make me happy. I will continue with my strength training. Life is wonderful when you take care of yourself and stay fit. Thanks Jeff!

Major improvements in my personal well-being
Training with Joe at Training 4 Fitness has made a huge difference in my life... as a senior citizen growing up in an era where exercising was not something that the average woman did as a daily routine. When I first started, over 1 1/2 years ago, working out 3 days a week was a chore that I did not look forward to doing. Now, I see the benefits of exercising. With Joe’s patience, knowledge of personal training and keeping me focused, there has been major improvements in my personal well-being. One significant improvement was to my bone density. I no longer need to take supplements to prevent osteoporosis. Additionally, I have increased strength, endurance and balance which are very important as one ages. I have always focused on my weight. It was always a losing battle. But with Joe’s guidance by having me stay focused on workouts and diet advice, I dropped two dress sizes.

It is wonderful to feel like you are back on track to obtain your fitness and health goals. Joe has been more than a trainer to me, identifying my nutrition and diet needs, counseling me & helping me to reach all of my goals geared towards a healthier lifestyle. Everyone can create and customize their own training and fitness journey here at Training 4 Fitness in Clearwater. My personal journey began last April, 2017 when I was gifted training by a close friend who felt the need to introduce me to a personal training method that works within my very busy work schedule. I was slowing down, over weight, and not in good overall health. A lot was due to my lack of exercise and poor food choices. It was an excuse, one of many that I have overcome! And I'm proud to share that I have lost 20 pounds (so far) of excess weight, and my strength and flexibility are much improved. I did the work. Joe Altamura did the coaching, training and teaching. We discuss and he crafts not only the work outs, but also talk about my diet and goals. Relaxed, fun, and not intimidating
Training 4 Fitness is not your typical gym experience. This is a small personal fitness center where all sessions are one-on-one or small groups scheduled at a time that works for you. At Training 4 Fitness Joe and Jeff create a custom program that meets your needs in an environment that is relaxed, fun, and not intimidating. It doesn’t matter if you are in good shape looking to take it to the next level, just want to drop a few pounds, or if you can barely walk from the parking lot to the front door (not exaggerating). I have been going here for over 15 years and I have seen people of all ages and all fitness levels benefit from working with a personal trainer at Training 4 Fitness.
For me there were always 2 major roadblocks to having a consistent and effective fitness routine:
1.) showing up, and 2.) creating an effective workout. Training 4 Fitness has been the answer to both of these problems.
1. Accountability with a personal trainer is the only thing that keeps me on track. While I always had the best intentions, I was an expert at making excuses to skip the gym each day. But at Training 4 Fitness I know my trainer is there waiting for me at our scheduled time…so I show up no matter how busy or tiredI am.
2. Probably the best thing for me is that it is mindless. I just show up and Joe walks me through every minute of my session. I don’t have to think about getting the proper mix of cardio vs strength, covering all of the muscle groups, or whether I’m doing something properly/safely. They do all of that for me and every session is completely different so it is never boring. And maybe even more importantly, I know what we are doing is effective because I can see and feel the results…both my strength and muscle tone have improved greatly.

I am back on track!
I recently joined after an exhausting search for a personal trainer. I found Joe and I am happy to say I am back on track! The gym is very clean and bright. Joe is very knowledgeable and is by your side the entire time you are working out. He is a great motivator and wants you to succeed. I leave there feeling great! I truly believe he cares about his clients. Also, I have MS and he has tailored my workouts for my situation. I am forever grateful to have him as a trainer! 5 stars and highly recommended.
